Accelerator & venture fund

ERA: building an AI-native fund

Fifteen years of backing startups leaves a record most funds never use: every application, every review, thousands of hours of mentor sessions, and the signals behind each investment decision. We turned that dormant record into an AI system the firm works with every day, so each new decision draws on everything ERA has learned.

“We are already seeing amazing results, cutting down our workflow times substantially.”

Short-term rental management

One Fine BnB: running rentals around the clock

We automated guest messaging, bookings, reviews and crew coordination for a property management company, and added a voice agent that answers guest calls day and night, with a person on hand for the hard ones.

Made On Site: running the ERP with AI agents

Made On Site builds machines that refill soap, shampoo and lotion inside hotels. We built AI agents that run their ERP workflow, from customer orders and fulfillment to inventory and kit assembly, and a platform that collects data from every installed machine.

The team asks for stock, orders and machine status in Slack instead of digging through the ERP, and hotel owners see their own dashboards.

Healthnix: shipping faster under HIPAA

Healthnix is a digital health company in a regulated industry. We rebuilt how its engineering team works around AI: one board for all the work, a review step before anything reaches production, and AI coding tools the team uses every day.

We also built a company brain that answers questions from the company’s own meetings, email and documents, and Slack agents that put it to work.

An engineering team made of AI

A software company that runs without a traditional engineering department. We built a team of AI agents that writes, tests and ships the code, while the founder directs the work and reviews the results.

We also rebuilt the cloud setup underneath it to cut what the product costs to run.

Investor & inventor

A private AI system for one person

An investor and inventor wanted AI working across his whole day, with his data on a server he controls. We built a private AI system on his own server that works across his email, calendars and documents on Google, Outlook and Fastmail.

He runs it from his phone or desktop, and connects new accounts himself from a simple setup page.

02  Who leads the work

Led by Chad Ozgur.

Chad is the Resident CTO at ERA, one of TIME’s America’s Best Accelerators of 2026, and CTO of its venture firm, Remarkable Ventures. He has held the ERA role since 2013 and works with the 400+ startups ERA has backed.

He has fifteen years as a CTO, in-house and fractional, and through Wildcard he has delivered more than 500 projects. Before that, he ran technology for a publishing group with a 54-server data center and a 450-agent call center.

He wrote his first code at 10 and still writes code every week. He leads every Wildcard engagement.

03  Who it’s for

Businesses where the work is valuable and the routine is expensive. If your best people lose hours every week to tasks a system could handle, and fixing that is worth investing in, we’re a good fit.

04  How we work

We learn the business before we build.

Step 1 · Learn

Learn the business

Two to three weeks with your team. You get a ranked list of the work worth automating, what each would cost and return, and the scope of the first build.

Step 2 · Build

Build it in

Inside the tools you already use. No new app for your team to learn.

Step 3 · Adopt

Get it used

We train your people and stay until it’s how the work gets done.

Step 4 · Run

Run and improve

Monthly, with a clear view of what it costs to run and what it returns.

05  What we build

AI that does real work.

The builds we’re asked for most. Discovery tells us which one to start with.

The back office, handled.

Orders, scheduling, inventory and coordination move on their own, and your people step in only where judgment is needed.

Example: Made On Site’s ERP workflow

A company brain that actually answers.

Your meetings, email and documents turned into an assistant your team can ask anything, with the source attached.

Example: ERABot, Healthnix

Ask your business a question, get an answer.

Plain-language questions answered from your own data, without waiting on someone to build a report.

Follow-up that doesn’t depend on someone remembering.

Research, drafting and personalized outreach at a scale your team can’t reach by hand. Your people approve what goes out.

A customer-service agent that knows when to hand over.

Answers routine questions by chat, email or phone in seconds, and passes the hard ones to your team with the full context.

06  What you can hold us to

Four things that don’t change.

01

The same lead

The person on your first call leads the work. No handoff to juniors.

02

You own it

Code, accounts and documentation stay with you. Take it in-house whenever you like.

03

Costs in the open

You see what everything we run costs, every month.

04

No lock-in

Ongoing work is month to month. We stay because it pays off.

07  Questions

Before we talk.

Do we need an AI strategy first?

No. A slow process, a backlog, or work someone does by hand every day is enough to start. Discovery turns that into a plan.

Will it work with the tools we already use?

That’s the point. We build into your email, CRM, ERP, documents and chat, so your team doesn’t have to learn a new app.

What happens after launch?

We keep it running. Month to month, we monitor, fix and improve what we built, and tell you what it costs to run.

Who owns what you build?

You do. The code, the accounts and the documentation are yours from day one.

What does the first call cost?

Nothing. It’s 30 minutes about your business. If there’s a fit, we’ll suggest a short discovery. If not, we’ll say so.
